Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Couples by Vicente do Rego Monteiro was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,337.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vicente do Rego Monteiro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 60,231.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Les Couples von Vicente do Rego Monteiro kam im Dezember 2007 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.337,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vicente do Rego Monteiro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 60.231,22).
