The work Christ In Contemplation Before His Crucifixion by Vicente Carducho was sold in the Old Masters Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 322,000.00 (€ 361,032.80), 29% above the upper estimate. With this result, Christ In Contemplation Before His Crucifixion is even the most expensive work of art by Vicente Carducho that we have observed at auctions so far.
