Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cattle in a meadow by Vernon de Beauvoir Ward was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 881.25 (€ 1,287.15). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vernon de Beauvoir Ward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Swans, Ducks And Moorhens, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,525.90).

Die Arbeit Cattle in a meadow von Vernon de Beauvoir Ward kam im Oktober 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 881,25 (€ 1.287,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Vernon de Beauvoir Ward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Swans, Ducks And Moorhens beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.525,90) versteigert wurde.
