Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Vernon de Beauvoir Ward could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Swans and a figure in a punt, before Windsor Castle changed hands for GBP 437.50 (€ 492.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Vernon de Beauvoir Ward have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swans, Ducks And Moorhens in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,525.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
