In February 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's 100, which included the work Frankfurt Airport VII: April 24, 2001 by Vera Lutter. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 34,013.61), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vera Lutter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Brooklyn Bridge, which sold at auction in October 2005 for GBP 48,000.00 (€ 70,785.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's 100 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frankfurt Airport VII: April 24, 2001 von Vera Lutter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 34.013,61) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Vera Lutter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Brooklyn Bridge beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für GBP 48.000,00 (€ 70.785,49) versteigert wurde.
