Auction result well in line with expectations

LA PRINCIPESSA REALE DI SAVOIA auction at Christies in London in April 2005. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 532.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ventura Domenico - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Young Lady, Seated In A Floral Embroidered Armchair, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,443.76).
