Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Velu Viswanadhan was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 592.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Velu Viswanadhan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre, 2004 in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 34,698.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Velu Viswanadhan kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 592,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Velu Viswanadhan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2004 im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 34.698,00.
