Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons, which included the work Cossack Lovers Embracing by Vasily Grachev. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,794.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasily Grachev - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Bronze Group Of A Mounted Cossack With Hounds, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 46,000.00 (€ 29,547.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Russian Pictures, Works of Art and Icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cossack Lovers Embracing von Vasily Grachev zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.794,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasily Grachev mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Bronze Group Of A Mounted Cossack With Hounds beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 46.000,00 (€ 29.547,79) versteigert wurde.
