Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Soldier And His Lover Embracing by Vasily Grachev was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,917.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vasily Grachev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Bronze Group Of A Mounted Cossack With Hounds in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 46,000.00 (€ 29,547.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Soldier And His Lover Embracing von Vasily Grachev kam im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.917,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vasily Grachev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Bronze Group Of A Mounted Cossack With Hounds im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000,00 (€ 29.547,79).
