Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Sailing By Moonlight by Vasilios Chatzis. The price achieved of GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,234.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasilios Chatzis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek the Crusader Invasion Of Constantinople, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 61,250.00 (€ 70,039.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Sailing By Moonlight von Vasilios Chatzis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.234,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasilios Chatzis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek the Crusader Invasion Of Constantinople beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 61.250,00 (€ 70.039,56) versteigert wurde.
