Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Greek landing Ashore by Vasilios Chatzis. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,429.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vasilios Chatzis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek the Crusader Invasion Of Constantinople, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 61,250.00 (€ 70,039.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek landing Ashore von Vasilios Chatzis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.429,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vasilios Chatzis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek the Crusader Invasion Of Constantinople beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 61.250,00 (€ 70.039,56) versteigert wurde.
