Admittedly, works by Velu Viswanadhan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans Titre, 2004 in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 34,698.00.

Die Arbeit Emerging Idol von Velu Viswanadhan wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 6.468,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Velu Viswanadhan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans Titre, 2004 im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 34.698,00.
