Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,905.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Uwe Kowski - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wäsche, which sold at auction in April 2006 for GBP 22,800.00 (€ 32,906.84).

Die Arbeit Frühstück mit Zitronen (Breakfast with Lemons) von Uwe Kowski wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion First Open | Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.905,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Uwe Kowski mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wäsche beobachtet, die im April 2006 für GBP 22.800,00 (€ 32.906,84) versteigert wurde.
