Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Knot by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,115.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 42,000.00 – 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mother & Daughter, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,156.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Knot von Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.115,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 42.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mother & Daughter beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 11.156,45) versteigert wurde.
