Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Area Of Corporeality by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,894.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mother & Daughter, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 11,156.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Area Of Corporeality von Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.894,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mother & Daughter beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 11.156,45) versteigert wurde.
