The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,606.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The great elephant from a foreign land (Ikoku watari dai zo no zu) is the most expensive artwork by Utagawa Yoshiharu that we have observed at auctions so far.
