Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The actor Onoe Shosuke by Utagawa Toyokuni was auctioned at Christies in New York in March last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,703.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Utagawa Toyokuni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Edo Period (1615-1868), Early 19Th Century in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,062.50 (€ 38,060.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The actor Onoe Shosuke von Utagawa Toyokuni kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.703,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Utagawa Toyokuni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Edo Period (1615-1868), Early 19Th Century im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.062,50 (€ 38.060,38).
