A top price for Umberto Brunelleschi - as previously expected
In June 2020 Christies in London held the auction Face Time: People in Art through the Ages, which included the work Self-portrait with a puppet and a mask by Umberto Brunelleschi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 38,546.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Self-portrait with a puppet and a mask is the most expensive artwork by Umberto Brunelleschi that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Face Time: People in Art through the Ages durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-portrait with a puppet and a mask von Umberto Brunelleschi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 38.546,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
