Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Pier Off The Coast of Viareggio by Ulvi Liegi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,800.00 (€ 8,555.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ulvi Liegi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Barga, Porta Macchiaja, which sold at auction in December 2001 for ITL 24,500,000.00 (€ 22,020.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pier Off The Coast of Viareggio von Ulvi Liegi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.800,00 (€ 8.555,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ulvi Liegi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Barga, Porta Macchiaja beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für ITL 24.500.000,00 (€ 22.020,00) versteigert wurde.
