Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Composizione con fiasco e funghi by Ugo Celada da Virgilio was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 900.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ugo Celada da Virgilio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Senza titolo in June this year with an auction result of EUR 10,080.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Composizione con fiasco e funghi von Ugo Celada da Virgilio im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 900,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 800,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ugo Celada da Virgilio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Senza titolo im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.080,00.
