Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ubaldo Oppi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in April 2019. In the Thinking Italian Milan auction, the work Contadino a sera sold for EUR 175,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ubaldo Oppi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Giovani donne al mare sold at auction in April 2019 with the realized price of EUR 200,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ubaldo Oppi erzielte im April 2019 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Thinking Italian Milan wurde die Arbeit Contadino a sera für EUR 175.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ubaldo Oppi; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Giovani donne al mare im April 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 200.000,00.
