Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tu Zhuo could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape After Wu Zhen changed hands for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,142.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tu Zhuo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hermit Fisherman In The Xie Stream: Painting Number Two in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,422.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tu Zhuo konnte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Landscape After Wu Zhen für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.142,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tu Zhuo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hermit Fisherman In The Xie Stream: Painting Number Two im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.422,32).
