The work Nobleman writing a poem on a winter day by Tsukioka Settei was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2013. It achieved a price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,340.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Tsukioka Settei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shunsho Higi (Secret Delights For A Spring Evening) in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 21,510.00 (€ 17,323.02).

Die Arbeit Nobleman writing a poem on a winter day von Tsukioka Settei kam im März 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.340,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsukioka Settei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shunsho Higi (Secret Delights For A Spring Evening) im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.510,00 (€ 17.323,02).
