Admittedly, works by Tsukioka Settei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shunsho Higi (Secret Delights For A Spring Evening) in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 21,510.00 (€ 17,323.02).

Die Arbeit Komachi washing the copybook (Soshi arai Komachi) von Tsukioka Settei kam im September 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.824,00 (€ 2.317,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tsukioka Settei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shunsho Higi (Secret Delights For A Spring Evening) im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.510,00 (€ 17.323,02).
