In the Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Preliminary drawings and sketches changed hands for USD 2,868.00 (€ 1,738.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsubaki Chinzan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rooster and praying mantis, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,262.39).
