Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Gyobo senshi (Beautiful as jade, calm as an immortal) by Tsubaki Chinzan for USD 1,912.00 (€ 1,754.13). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsubaki Chinzan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rooster and praying mantis, which sold at auction in March 2003 for USD 5,736.00 (€ 5,262.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gyobo senshi (Beautiful as jade, calm as an immortal) von Tsubaki Chinzan für USD 1.912,00 (€ 1.754,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsubaki Chinzan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rooster and praying mantis beobachtet, die im März 2003 für USD 5.736,00 (€ 5.262,39) versteigert wurde.
