Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art – Day Sale, which included the work In Full Bearing by Tsang Chui Mei. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,127.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tsang Chui Mei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Floating And Drifting, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 8,896.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Full Bearing von Tsang Chui Mei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.127,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tsang Chui Mei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Floating And Drifting beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 8.896,39) versteigert wurde.
