A top price for Truong Van Thanh
This artwork by Truong Van Thanh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Goldfish sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,920.10) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. This high result makes Goldfish the most expensive artwork by Truong Van Thanh that we have observed at auctions so far.
