Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Actor Iwai Hanshiro Iv As The Wet Nurse Shigenoi by Toshusai Sharaku was auctioned at Christies in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 28,072.90). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toshusai Sharaku achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait en buste (okubi-e) de l'acteur Morita Kan'ya VIII dans le rôle de Uguisu no Jirôsaku, le porteur de palanquin, sur fond micacé gris, dans la pièce Katakiuchi Noriaibanashi, une sélection de contes de revanche, donnée le 5e mois de l'an in May 2018 with an auction result of EUR 616,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 28.072,90) einen neuen Besitzer.
