A group of five oversized prints depicting beauties, including Tsuki (Moon), Haru (Spring), Yuki (Snow), Hana (Cherry Blossoms), and Aki (Autumn), each signed Kiyomitsu, sealed Torii and with the embossed title of each print in the lower margin, published by Kabutoya, the verso of each with edition stamp 25/300 (5)

Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work A Group of Five Woodblock Prints by Torii Kiyomitsu I for USD 318.75 (€ 312.44). This price was achieved in the auction Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Torii Kiyomitsu I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Courtesans Under Blossoming Plum in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,867.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Group of Five Woodblock Prints von Torii Kiyomitsu I für USD 318,75 (€ 312,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Torii Kiyomitsu I erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Courtesans Under Blossoming Plum im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 13.867,55).
