In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included this untitled work by Toon Verhoef. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,625.00 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Toon Verhoef have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch Untitled in March 2010 with an auction result of EUR 30,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Toon Verhoef zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.625,00 und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Toon Verhoef auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch Untitled im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 30.750,00.
