Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tony DeLap could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction, the work Eusapia, 1988 changed hands for USD 4,972.50 (€ 5,082.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tony DeLap achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ozanam, 1989 in September last year with an auction result of USD 57,075.00 (€ 58,341.00).
