Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Interior by Tony Bevan was sold in the Modern British Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,800.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tony Bevan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Corridor, which sold at auction in October 2017 for GBP 112,500.00 (€ 128,272.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Interior von Tony Bevan wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 55.800,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Tony Bevan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Corridor beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für GBP 112.500,00 (€ 128.272,02) versteigert wurde.
