The work Chapter Three "Wreck" by Tomoko Konoike was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art and Chinese 20th Century Art(Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,060,000.00 (€ 214,010.83), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Chapter Three "Wreck" the most expensive artwork by Tomoko Konoike that we have observed at auctions so far.
