In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Nativity by Tommaso di Credi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 106,250.00 (€ 144,282.39), 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tommaso di Credi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Madonna And Child With The Infant Saint John The Baptist sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 146,943.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
