In July 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Madonna And Child With The Infant Saint John The Baptist by Tommaso di Credi. The price achieved of GBP 116,500.00 (€ 146,943.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Madonna And Child With The Infant Saint John The Baptist is the most expensive artwork by Tommaso di Credi that we have observed at auctions so far.
