Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Temple of Vesta at Tivoli; and The Temple of Venus at Baia by Tommaso Bigatti was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 966.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tommaso Bigatti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A design for a wall decoration in Ancient Roman style, with a central scene of Adonis discovering the sleeping Venus, flanked by panels with putti, griffins and winged horses in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,520.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Temple of Vesta at Tivoli; and The Temple of Venus at Baia von Tommaso Bigatti kam im April 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A design for a wall decoration in Ancient Roman style, with a central scene of Adonis discovering the sleeping Venus, flanked by panels with putti, griffins and winged horses im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.520,89).
