Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Untitled (Taxi Kitty) by Tom Sachs. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 42,672.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Sachs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tiffany Value Meal in May last year with an auction result of USD 302,400.00 (€ 281,800.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Taxi Kitty) von Tom Sachs zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 42.672,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Sachs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tiffany Value Meal im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 302.400,00 (€ 281.800,39).
