The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,094.37), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thomas Edwin Mostyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress in September 2003 with an auction result of GBP 39,950.00 (€ 40,240.55).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.094,37) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thomas Edwin Mostyn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, three-quarter-length, in a green and gold dress im September 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.950,00 (€ 40.240,55).
