Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Grace before Meat by Thomas McEwan was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,223.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Thomas McEwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In Time O'War, which sold at auction in August 2007 for GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,740.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Grace before Meat von Thomas McEwan kam im März 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.997,50 (€ 3.223,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Thomas McEwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit In Time O'War beobachtet, die im August 2007 für GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.740,88) versteigert wurde.
