A top price for Tom Lloyd - as previously expected
In June 2004 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Otter hunting, Bolton Abbey by Tom Lloyd. The price achieved of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,335.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Otter hunting, Bolton Abbey is the most expensive artwork by Tom Lloyd that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Otter hunting, Bolton Abbey von Tom Lloyd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.585,00 (€ 5.335,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Otter hunting, Bolton Abbey das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tom Lloyd, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
