Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cows resting above the coast by Tom Lloyd was sold in the British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in January 2006. The price achieved of GBP 300.00 (€ 439.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tom Lloyd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Otter hunting, Bolton Abbey in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,335.55).
