The work Marilyn Monroe, First Centerfold For "Playboy" by Tom Kelley was sold in the Stonewall@50 Photographs Online auction at Bonhams in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,718.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Kelley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marilyn Monroe, 1953 in December 2003 with an auction result of USD 17,925.00 (€ 14,229.58).
