Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Howdy Beef ‘n Burger by Tom Blackwell was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 32,760.00 (€ 28,358.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tom Blackwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Exiting Celine. Monaco" in December 2020 with an auction result of EUR 193,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Howdy Beef ‘n Burger von Tom Blackwell kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 28.358,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tom Blackwell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Exiting Celine. Monaco" im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 193.500,00.
