Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Beyond by Toko Shinoda. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,600.00 (€ 4,934.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toko Shinoda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sound (Oto) in September 2020 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 69,337.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beyond von Toko Shinoda zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.600,00 (€ 4.934,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toko Shinoda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sound (Oto) im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 69.337,77).
