Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Head of Christ, 1925 by Tina Modotti for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,238.56). This price was achieved in the auction MoMA: Women in Photography at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tina Modotti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Telephone Wires, Mexico in April 2019 with an auction result of USD 692,000.00 (€ 617,801.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Head of Christ, 1925 von Tina Modotti für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.238,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion MoMA: Women in Photography bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tina Modotti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Telephone Wires, Mexico im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 692.000,00 (€ 617.801,98).
