Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A shaded village road by Tina Blau was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2001, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 10,575.00 (€ 11,916.84). Admittedly, works by Tina Blau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Austrian the Prater And Rotunda, Vienna in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 75,000.00 (€ 101,846.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A shaded village road von Tina Blau im April 2001 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 10.575,00 (€ 11.916,84) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tina Blau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Austrian the Prater And Rotunda, Vienna im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.000,00 (€ 101.846,39).
