Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction The Discerning Eye: Property from the Collection of Eric Franck, Part I, which included the work 'Mussolini, Florence', 1934 by Tim Gidal. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,435.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Tim Gidal have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work 'Damascus', 1943 was auctioned for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,584.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Discerning Eye: Property from the Collection of Eric Franck, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Mussolini, Florence', 1934 von Tim Gidal zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.435,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Tim Gidal konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2017 die Arbeit 'Damascus', 1943 für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.584,22) versteigert.
