In December 2011 VAN HAM held the auction Photographie, which included the work Joachim Ringelnatz by Tim Gidal. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 645.00 29% above the estimate. Admittedly, works by Tim Gidal have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Damascus', 1943 in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,584.22).
Schätzpreis um 29 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2011 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Photographie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joachim Ringelnatz von Tim Gidal zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 645,00 und damit 29% über dem Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tim Gidal auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 'Damascus', 1943 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.584,22).
