Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tim Ebner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. In the Colossal! Monumental Works from the 1980s auction, the work without title sold for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,930.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Tim Ebner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in July 2019 with the realized price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,177.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Tim Ebner erzielte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Colossal! Monumental Works from the 1980s wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.930,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Tim Ebner; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.177,00).
